Mortabond EZBond Heavy Duty | Tile Adhesive

 

A cement-based adhesive designed for tile setting common tile types and sizes onto concrete floors and walls. Mortabond EZBond Heavy Duty Tile Adhesive is formulated from quality Portland cement, limestone, silica sand, and select additives, ensuring good workability and adhesion. No additives needed. Just add water.

Instructions

MIXING RATIO:
25 kg EZBond Heavy Duty Tile Adhesive : 5 Liters Water

APPROXIMATE COVERAGE:
7-8 sqm per 25 kg at 3 mm thickness

APPLICATION GUIDE
1.Mix Mortabond EZbond Heavy Duty Tile Adhesive with clean water. Ensure the consistency is homogeneous and free from lumps. Let it stand for 3 to 5 minutes and stir again for better consistency. Do not retemper or add more water once the mixture begins to harden.

2.Using the flat side of a notched trowel, apply the mixture on the surface as a screed approximately

3 mm thick. Then, using the ribbed side of the notched trowel, comb the screed with straight lines to create ridges.

3.Make sure the tiles are clean before applying a very thin layer of adhesive on the back of the tile to ensure maximum coverage. Use tile spacers to ensure that the tiles are evenly positioned.

4.Firmly set the tiles on top of the screed. Move the tiles back and forth across the ridges, about a quarter to half an inch. Make sure to move it in one direction only, and perpendicular to the ridges.

5.Using a rubber mallet, gently pound the tile to help compress and evenly distribute the screed. The ridges should be flattened thoroughly to avoid unwanted air pockets.

6.Let it set for at least 24 hours.

Tile Grout after three days.
