Mortabond Block Adhesive | AAC and CLC Block Adhesive

 

A polymer modified cement-based thin-set adhesive specifically engineered for laying AAC, CLC and other masonry blocks and panels. Formulated to reduce up to 70% of the traditional mortar needed, its ultra high compressive and tensile adhesion strength, coupled with its rapid setting capabilities will enable a quick erection of perfectly even masonry wall without the need to wait for block work curing.

Instructions

Approximate Coverage: 2-3 sqm Wall per 25 kg bag at 6 mm thickness (using 600mm x 200mm x 100mm thk. AAC Blocks)

APPLICATION GUIDE
1. Mix Mortabond Block Adhesive with clean water. Ensure the consistency is homogeneous and free from lumps. Let it rest for 3 to 5 minutes and stir the mixture again. Do not add water after it begins to harden.

2. Spread the mixture onto the substrate, where the masonry unit will be laid, with a cement trowel to create a screed about 3mm in thickness.

3. Place the masonry units firmly onto the adhesive layer. Use a leveling tool to check the alignment and ensure the masonry units are even. Adjust the position of the masonry units to achieve the desired alignment before the adhesive begins to set.

4. Fill the vertical joints with adhesive. A continuous vertical joint without breaks should be maintained to ensure structural stability.

5. Stack the masonry units until the wall is fully erected, no need to wait for next day block work curing.

6. Wait at least 24 hours before wall rendering or plastering.
