1. Surface Preparation

Concrete Substrate: Remove all deteriorated, loose, or delaminated concrete. Clean the area thoroughly to eliminate bond-inhibiting materials like dust, oil, or grease.

Surface Profile: Mechanical roughening (e.g., hydro-blasting or scarifying) should be used to achieve an open-textured surface profile.

Steel Reinforcement: Clean exposed rebar mechanically to remove all traces of rust, scale, or corrosion.

Pre-Wetting: Thoroughly soak the concrete substrate with clean water until it reaches a Saturated Surface Dry (SSD) condition. Ensure there is no standing or glistening water left on the surface before material application.

2. Mixing Instructions

Equipment: Use a heavy-duty, low-speed drill (300–450 rpm) equipped with a clean mud/paddle mixer. For large volume applications, use a conventional mortar or concrete mixer.

Procedure:Pour the minimum recommended amount of cool, potable water into the clean mixing container.

Add the dry bag powder slowly while mixing continuously to prevent clumping.

Mix thoroughly for a minimum of 3 minutes until a completely uniform and lump-free consistency is achieved.

Adjust with a small amount of remaining water if needed to reach the desired consistency, but never over-water the mix.

3. Application Methods

Form & Pour / Form & Pump: If utilizing a self-consolidating or highly fluid variant, pour or pump the mixed material directly into firmly anchored, watertight forms. Material flows smoothly through internal rebar without requiring mechanical vibration.

Hand / Trowel Applied: For thicker overhead or vertical patches, pack and compact the mortar firmly against the SSD substrate using a trowel. Ensure complete consolidation behind any exposed reinforcement bars.

Layer Thickness: Maintain application limits strictly within the specified structural boundaries (typically a minimum depth of 25 mm up to product-specific maximums per layer).
